Nathan and I had the opportunity to go on a short trip to Hawaii last month. It was such a great place for a vacation. Usually when we travel, I tend to cross places off my list, but Hawaii I would go back to again and again. It’s super relaxing and warm and green all year long. We spent our first three days on the island of Kauai and our last two days on the Big Island.
Friday October 13th:
Explored town of Kapaa where we were staying with our friend Kristine, drove up to North shore, stopping at Kilieua lighthouse and then went to Hanalei Bay area.
Saturday October 14th:
We went hiking and snorkeling at Shipwreck Beach, then drove through beautiful Waimea canyon, and came back to watch a sunset at Spouting Horn.
Sunday October 15th:
Watched sunrise at Kaelia beach, hiked a little bit of the Napali Coast/ Kalalau trail, then took the muddy trek down to Queens Bath which was totally worth it.
Monday October 16th:
Today we flew to Big Island, landing at Kona airport. We stopped at South Point, Ka Lae, and spent the evening at Punaluu Black Sand Beach
Tuesday October 17th:
We stayed in little town of Pahala, saw the Kilauea Volcano, did some shopping in Downtown Hilo, and went to Rainbow Falls.
Also, baby must have liked Hawaii too because my baby bump was a lot bigger by the last day of our trip (:
